Fed: PM says clean energy fund to be brought forward
Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD is bringing forward a 500 million dollar renewable energy
fund to kick start clean power plants across Australia.
The fund .. originally to be spent over six years from 2009 .. will now be invested
over 18 months.
Inspecting a new solar farm at Windorah in far western Queensland today .. Mr RUDD
said it's time to begin a renewable energy revolution that'll stimulate the economy ..
create jobs .. and help fight climate change.
He'll unveil his government's proposed emissions trading scheme and 2020 emission reduction
targets tomorrow.
