Vic: Police probe pre Christmas theft of $100,000 toys

Victorian police are investigating the pre-Christmas heist of a truckload of $100,000
worth of imported teddy bears amd dolls.

A bogus truck driver was believed to be responsible for the theft from a freight company
at Tullamarine, near Melbourne airport.

Senior Constable DAVID GAMBLE says the teddy bears and dolls, imported from the United
States, are very distinctive.

They were due to be delivered to Mount Gambier in South Australia.
