Packard has been named vice president of the Albany office of Aetna Life & Casualty, which markets property-casualty insurance to businesses and auto and homeowners coverage to individuals in eastern upstate New York. Packard formerly was chief of staff for Aetna's property-casualty and international operations at the company's headquarters in Hartford, Conn.
